Hi, I’m Claudia

I’m a multi-disciplined artist and illustrator specialising in surreal, whimsical, and conceptual designs. I live and work on the south coast of the UK with my five-year-old son, Bodhi.

Across all of my work - from illustration to lampshades - sustainability sits at it’s core, with themes of nature running through wherever possible. I strongly believe that great design doesn’t have to cost the earth, and I love the satisfaction of making something new from something old.

Illustration

I’m available for freelance illustration work, including editorial projects and picture books.

I also offer custom illustrated portraits, created from a photograph you provide. Rather than simply recreating the photo, I transform the subject into a hand-drawn scene - often placing them within their own imaginative setting or story, much like a moment from a picture book.

These make thoughtful and unique gifts, capturing a person or memory in a way that feels both personal and magical.

Murals & Window Displays

Alongside my illustration work, I also paint murals for both commercial and residential spaces.

HARi Lampshades

I have a background in and love for textiles, as well as art, and this is reflected in my unique collection, HARi: traditionally made lampshades crafted entirely from second-hand, recycled and reclaimed materials.

Bespoke lampshades and restoration services are available too.

Memory Shades are something unique to me. You give me something special - perhaps a piece of fabric or a small collection of meaningful objects - and I incorporate it into a lampshade. It’s a beautiful and unique way to preserve precious memories, whilst creating a wonderful gift or family heirloom that can be enjoyed for years to come.
