Each and every piece I create for HARi is a work of art. Combining carefully sourced second hand materials with expert traditional craftmanship, I give you pieces for your home that are both truly original and completely sustainable.

I spend many hours digging around in charity shops, meandering through car boot sales, and scouring through online listings selling vintage and antique textiles, to find beautiful pieces I can incorporate into my work. I love the way using these materials that already carry so much history adds such effortless depth and character into the items I make.

For example, I might discover a panel of hand stitched vintage embroidery - something that may have taken someone hours but has otherwise been forgotten - found scrunched up and thrown into a basket at the back of a shop.

As I make the work around it, I will find myself imagining who the initial creator may have been. What was their name? How old were they? What was their story?

This is the magic of working with second hand materials and it never gets old.
